Essex and Herts air ambulance

This charity funded organisation is simply amazing and I cannot express how wonderful they are. They did everything they could to save Derek’s life and were so gentle and kind and thoughtful with me at the most difficult moment of my life. Not only that but they offer ongoing support with no time limits. Truly wonderful and I cannot thank or praise them enough. Read their description below;

We are a charity that provides a free life-saving service that is operational 24/7 by helicopters

and by rapid response vehicles in the hours of darkness.

Our aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a first class pre-hospital emergency medical service to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

We exist because of generous people like you who donate, play our lottery, visit our shops, and volunteer!

Veterans Foundation

This is an organisation close to Derek’s heart. As a former soldier in SA who saw active service in the most awful war he knew first hand the devastating and ongoing effects of being involved in warfare. He could always recognise a veteran among the homeless on the streets and would always do something to help.
