Unveiling our charity fundraiser 2026: the GM Ringway DJS Research Relay!
If you’re in any way familiar with DJS Research you’ll know we love a challenge, and each year we embark on a different adventure to raise much-needed funds for our charity partners. From tackling the Gritstone Trail to skydives from 14,0000 feet and scaling the Cheshire three peaks, our charity days are always the jewel in our fundraising crown. But this year we wanted to explore something a little different…
First and foremost, this year’s challenge had to be bigger. One that would give us the flexibility and scale to enable – and hopefully motivate - even more of our employee Partners to take part.
Secondly, it had to have a clear and tangible link to the communities in which so many of our employees and clients live and work and actively support to day to day. As a proud North-West based agency we wanted this year’s challenge to really fly the flag for our region and we really think we’ve found the perfect fit: the Greater Manchester Ringway trail.
With 20 different stages grouped into four broad sections, the GM Ringway trail begins in Manchester city centre and spirals out anti-clockwise across 200 beautiful miles, exploring the diverse green spaces, countryside and rich heritage of all ten boroughs.
To make the challenge as inclusive and accessible as possible for our employee Partners, we’ll be taking on a single stage of the route each day for 20 consecutive days – almost like a DJS relay if you will! Each section can be accessed by public transport, which means getting to and from the trail couldn’t be easier, and with leisurely, moderate and challenging stages clearly marked, there’s a level for everyone.
Our first walkers will set out on Monday 7th September with the final group set to complete the last leg on Saturday 26th. Our team, alongside friends, family, clients and four-legged supporters, hope to raise vital funds for our charity partners, Stockport Without Abuse and Blythe House Hospice.
