Story
Cam and I, the next generation the Butler doggies, are very fond of the African bush. Through the years we have had the incredible privilege of being able to grow up around it and so when the opportunity came round for us to give back to this thing that has been such a massive part of our identity as people it was no-brainer. Rhinos are at a crisis point. Today, three of the five species of rhino are Critically Endangered, meaning they face an extremely high chance of extinction in the wild; two of these species have fewer than 80 animals surviving.
Save the Rhino is a fantastic organisation and we would be so grateful for you to get behind this cause. Below is taken from their website and summarises some of the work they do:
Protecting Rhinos - At the heart of their work is the protection of rhinos in the wild, through funding rangers, their dogs and rhino care.
Reducing illegal trade - Their work aims to stop people from wanting to buy the rhino horn in the first place, as well as gaining insight and knowledge of how to stop the criminals involved in the illegal trade of the horn.
Engaging communities - The work Save the Rhino does in the communities and areas in and around the rhinos is centred on supporting community -led conservation, so that the people living near the rhinos are inspired to protect the wildlife around them.
Bringing experts together - Across the world Save the Rhino is engaging and working with experts in conservation to share their knowledge and information. This is to ensure the conservationists and people on the ground have the best skills possible to save rhinos.
Big love!
