Team fundraising for Cure Parkinson’s

Raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

2025 marks our 20th anniversary, but we’re not celebrating – we’re walking! As well as joining us on our London walk in September, our amazing Team Cure will be taking on their own coastal walks to raise vital funds for Parkinson's research.

Story

2025 will mark 20 years since Cure Parkinson’s was founded by Tom Isaacs and three other incredible individuals.

In 2002, Tom set off to walk the 4,500 mile coastline of Britain over the course a year, to raise the funds that would set up Cure Parkinson’s in 2005.

Since then, the charity have funded millions of pounds of research, made scientific discoveries and opened new avenues of research. Despite all this, they don’t yet have a cure, so their goal remains unchanged: to consign Parkinson’s to medical history.

On this anniversary year and beyond, they are more determined than ever to drive forward Tom’s vision. Not only are they launching and funding their biggest ever research projects in 2025, they’ll be walking to remember Tom and raising more funds than ever before to find a cure.

On SATURDAY 30th AUGUST 2025

A group of supporters will be walking FROM DOVER TO DEAL along the Saxon Shore Way raising money for Cure Parkinson's.

We will walk past the famous white cliffs, the north foreland lighthouse, down into beautiful St Margaret's Bay and on to Deal. We will finish at Deal Pier.

Walking 20k for 20 years and on a path Tom would have walked on 20 years ago.
