Story
Earlier this year we lost our much-loved friend and colleague, Dr Jane Colechin, Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation at Youth Futures Foundation. Jane dedicated her career to making things better for other people. She was a passionate advocate for the power of evidence to improve young people’s lives. More than anything Jane was a caring, generous, and passionate person who brought kindness and good humour to everything she did.
To remember Jane, colleagues from Youth Futures Foundation will be:
- Walking the London Bridges (11 June).
- Cycling from London to Birmingham (16-18 July).
- Baking! Our CEO, Barry Fletcher, will be running bake sales at Youth Futures Foundation's office hubs over the summer.
In line with the wishes of Jane's closest family, we are raising funds for two causes in Jane's memory:
Winston’s Wish - a charity that helps children, teenagers and young adults find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.
Mind - A mental health charity in England and Wales, offering information and advice to people with mental health problems, and lobbying government and local authorities on their behalf. Mind also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health.
Please donate to either of these charities if you would like to support us and honour Jane. We'd like to split donations evenly between the two causes and ask you to keep this in mind when making your donation.
