Story
Since its inception in 2014, The Fine & Country Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission to combat homelessness.
The donations received by The Foundation are distributed to many amazing organisations through The Foundation’s grant schemes, held annually in spring and autumn. Through a nomination from the Fine & Country network, organisations and charities within their region stand the chance of receiving a grant of up to £3,000.
Through the grant scheme programme, The Foundation continues its commitment to empowering organisations across the UK and internationally to make a difference in the lives of those most in need.
The Welsh network of Fine & Country offices is set to embark on a unique fundraising challenge this April as they unite to support The Fine & Country Foundation with what they have dubbed The Fine & Country Dragon Relay.
The initiative will see a giant red dragon mascot travel the length of Wales, passing from office to office in a relay-style journey from North Wales to South Wales. The dragon will be transported in a variety of creative and environmentally friendly ways, as participating teams attempt to deliver it to the next destination without using a car, all while raising money for charity.
Beginning in Llandudno, the dragon will make its way through the country before reaching its final destination in Tenby, stopping at Fine & Country offices along the route. Each office will host the dragon for two consecutive weekdays as part of the relay.
Offices across the network have already begun planning weird, wonderful and wacky ways to move the dragon along its journey. Ideas currently being discussed include canoeing along Welsh waterways, hiking scenic routes and other inventive challenges, all designed to attract sponsorship and raise awareness.
