Story
London Marathon 2025: Luke collapsed at Mile 25. London Marathon 2026: We’re going the extra mile - for him, and for St John Ambulance.
Last year, Luke collapsed just one mile from the finish line. He woke up in an emergency medical tent. Thankfully, St John Ambulance were there - efficient, compassionate, and professional. They quite literally saved the day.
St John Ambulance are the unseen heroes at major events like the London Marathon. They are voluntary workers who provide vital first aid and emergency care, keeping runners and spectators safe. Their work doesn’t stop there, as across the UK, they:
• Deliver life-saving First Aid training to schools, workplaces and communities
• Offer community support services for vulnerable people
• Undertake international health projects where help is needed most
In short, they help people be the difference between a life saved and a life lost.
This year, we’re coming back to finish what we started - not just for Luke, but to raise money for an organisation that truly made a difference when it mattered most.
St John Ambulance is funded entirely by donations. Every contribution helps them continue their lifesaving work. Please support us - and them - by donating today. Every pound takes us one step closer to the finish line.
