A group of us are doing the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on September 14th to raise much-need funds for Edinburgh Street Pastors.

Who are Edinburgh Street Pastors?

Street Pastors listen, care and help people on the streets of Edinburgh’s city centre on most Friday and Saturday nights all year round.

We are volunteers who help whoever is in need. We give hot drinks, snacks, and blankets to the homeless. We give flip flops to bare foot young women who have abandoned their high heels after a night clubbing. We scoop up the youngsters who have had a wee bit too much to drink and make sure they can get home safely. In essence we care for anyone who is vulnerable on our city streets.

We also give out lollipops for fun!

We give of our time freely and willingly, but we desperately need funds to continue this work.

£10 will provide a hot drink, snack, blanket, and emergency poncho to a homeless person.

£25 will fill a Street Pastor rucksack with contents for an evening patrol (hot drinks, snacks, blankets, bottled water, first aid kit)

£120 will provide a uniform for a new volunteer – suitable for working outdoors throughout the year.

We are very grateful for any donation and if you happen to be out clubbing at the weekend in the city centre and you see us come and say hello – you might be lucky enough to receive a lollipop!
