Story

New Fundraiser:

With every piece of art sold there will be an option to donate to this great cause (see below). LETS SPREAD AWARENESS AND HELP RESEARCH TOGETHER TO SAVE LIFES! Xxx

Previous fundraiser -

On the 28th of May - Emily, Sophie, Issy & Paddy will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to support Cancer Research UK. With also Charlie on board, who will be tackling the full 26.2 miles in the Edinburgh Marathon!

Sophie is running to raise awareness of skin cancer, after experiencing it first hand. Raising awareness of the importance of early detection and wearing suncream! As well as running for loved ones and others whom have conquered or lost their life’s to cancer.

Issy's motivation to raise money for Cancer Research is as a tribute for both her beloved nana and her Auntie Dawn who sadly lost their lives to cancer in 2011 and 2010.

Did you know that thanks to Cancer Research UK, cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years? But there is still much work to be done, and the money raised through the event will help Cancer Research UK in vital ways:

- £35 buys the nutrients that cells need to grow in the lab, allowing scientists to find out more about cancer than ever before.

- £50 buys a microscope lens, meaning our scientists can focus on the small details that could help us beat cancer.

- £200 buys DNA nucleotides. These chemical building blocks make up a strand of DNA. Scientists use them to make copies of important genes, giving us clues about how things go wrong in cancer.

- £270 buys an Exome sequencing experiment to find out in-depth information about our DNA, so our scientists can find cancer-causing mutations.

By donating to our fundraising efforts, you can play a part in Cancer Research UK's mission to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every pound donated counts and can make a tangible difference.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Our team is grateful for any support you can give, and will keep you updated on our progress as the event approaches.

Love,

Sophie, Emily, Issy, Charlie & Paddy x
