In September Lloyd and I will be hiking 100km continuously to raise money for the Young People's Shop (YPS)! 😍

YPS is a charity based Chichester and covering the Chichester and Arun district area, offering free and confidential mental health support to young people aged 11 - 25. I (Effie) work for the charity as an Emotional Support Worker and Counsellor, but when I was 15 (16 years ago!! 🤯) I received counselling from the charity myself. I then started volunteering with them about 5 years ago, and now I'm super proud to be working for YPS and offering the same support I received all those years ago! I'm super passionate about my work and this charity, and it would mean so much to me to raise as much as possible 🫶 there will be a few fundraising events over the coming months so keep an eye out and get involved if you can!

The hike will take us close to 30 hours non-stop (hopefully a bit less though!). For anyone who knows me knows what a challenge this will be for me and my body! And for anyone who knows Lloyd, will know that his mighty calves can handle it. My job title is Emotional Support Worker, but it will be him emotionally supporting me through this hike #prayforlloyd
