Story
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s thousands of dads, brothers, partners, grandads, mates, sons and uncles. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
The Directors at Infrastructure Services Group Limited and Job Ready Limited and Associates are taking on The Big Golf Race to help raise money and awareness of prostate cancer to keep men in the game for longer.
We believe in this great cause and encourage all of our families, friends, associates, connections and the world of LinkedIn to support this great cause.
Traditionally for those that love and hate golf, we normally play 18 holes, in which the back 9 nine holes can make the difference to ones enjoyment of the game. We then leave the 18th, enjoy a re-fuel in the 19th and recover the following day. This time we are doing that 4 times in one day with a circa 4.30am start and we hope the 19th will still be open by the time we finish. Not only is 72 holes a major challenge, those that have completed this challenge will know that, but we have chosen to complete this at one of the longest golf courses in UK/Europe, just to add to the fun and the challenge on the day.
We will undertake this challenge on Thursday 29th June 2023 at Rockliffe Hall Golf & Spa Resort, near Darlington, Co. Durham. The Head of Golf at Rockliffe, Mr Tom West and his team have agreed to let us undertake this challenge and they will support us on the day, a huge thanks to the Golf Team at Rockliffe for this.
'Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, Rockliffe Hall’s 18 hole championship golf course is renowned for being one of the most challenging, and longest, in Europe'.

If anyone would like to support, your most welcome. We may need support with Golf Balls as the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 17th holes, have what we golfers call water hazards and on this course these holes welcome lots of golfers and they will be certainly waiting for us on the day!! Therefore if Callaway or Titleist are reading this, your support is most welcome!!
We all know and sincerely appreciate that these times are very difficult for all. Your donations will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner. We would like to thank you for your support.
