Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

When our beautiful daughter died in 1979 there was no support available for families - no handprints, no footprints and no-one to talk to. I was delighted when I read an article nearly 30 years ago about this wonderful charity and the great work they do.

I have had the privilege of being a Patron at CBUK for over 20 years and I have decided that this year I will end my tenure on a high by fundraising with a walk with family and friends from Whitstable to Margate on Sunday 29th September.

Every penny raised will go towards helping families who have been bereaved - I would never want another family to go without the support that we weren’t able to have.
