On 11th October, Ellie and Louis will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of The UK Sepsis Trust and The Ruby Rose Foundation. This date holds deep significance for us, as it marks Ruby’s anniversary. It will be a physically and emotionally challenging day, but one we are committed to facing for her.

Ruby was a truly special person to everyone she met. She was happy, clever, and an incredible sister. She had brought so much joy to everyone around her. Ruby loved to dance, sing, and laugh and some of the best memories of her are the little moments we shared together for a little dance or singing at the top of our lungs, especially to Mr Brightside. Those moments are ones I’ll carry with me forever.

Losing Ruby changed our lives, but it also strengthened our determination to make something meaningful come from our loss. By supporting these charities, we hope to raise awareness, fund vital research, and help other families avoid the pain that ours has experienced.

Running this half marathon is our way of honouring Ruby. We will be running in support of The UK Sepsis Trust. To ensure Ruby’s legacy continues our family has created The Ruby Rose Foundation in her memory. Every donation, no matter the size, means more than we can put into words. Your support helps keep Ruby’s memory alive and supports causes that are incredibly close to our hearts.
