Ready, Set, SNOW! Unleash your inner elf, dress up and get festive to support people affected by dementia.

Story

We are a group of colleagues and friends who work closely in our community with many vulnerable people, including those with Alzheimer's and have often seen first hand the difficulty people and families face on a daily basis.

We would like to help raise awareness and some funds for this deserving charity by donating what we would have spent on a Christmas meal out this year. Instead we would like to walk the Bay, (Torbay) from Broadsands Beach to Torquay Harbour, spreading festive cheer, keeping our work team morale and spirits up during this challenging time and of course scatter some cheeky elf fun to those who may spot us on our elfy walk!

So look out for some elves on Saturday 12th December on the coastal path around Torbay. We will of course be taking care to follow the governments guidelines, hoping to walk in two groups of 6, if we go back to the rule of 6. If we are unable to continue with the walk due to government regulations, we will continue to raise money and plan the walk as soon as we can.

Thank you for your support and for taking the time to hear our story.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
