Story
Welcome to #TeamWarChild for the Royal Parks Half 2026!
On Sunday 11th October, Dad and I will be taking on our first-ever half marathon to raise money for War Child.
I started working at War Child just over three months ago and I'm constantly in awe of all the incredible hard work that all the teams put in to raise money, awareness and support children and families affected by conflict around the world.
So, when Dad told me he'd signed up to run to raise money for War Child, of course I had to join him!
If you're able to donate, we'd be so grateful. No matter how big or small, every donation makes a huge difference to the lives of children in war zones around the world.
Thank you so much for the support ❤️
- James (Dad) and Emily (me) xx
Here is a bit more info about War Child, and I would definitely recommend checking out the War Child website to learn more about all the different work that takes place all over the world and ways to get involved (or let's have a chat!):
War Child UK is the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. For three decades we've been driven by a single goal for no child's life to be torn apart by war.
We aim to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out and stay to support them through their recovery keeping them safe, helping them learn and cope with their experiences, and equipping them with skills for the future. We understand children's needs, respect their rights, and put them at the centre of the solution.
We campaign for changes to policies and practices to support children in conflict, and work with children and young people themselves to demand their rights.
Together with our partners we deliver our vital, life-saving work in countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Europe and Latin America.
Our incredible team of runners are taking on the Royal Parks Half to raise vital funds!
