Raising money for The Aspinall Foundation and Friends of Fairford and Lechlade Communities

Story

Hi everyone, Olee here

I’m equal parts excited and terrified to be taking part in the infamous Weston Beach Race on the 5th October this year. I’ll be doing this to raise money for two different charities on behalf of two lovely ladies who aren’t with us anymore.

The first is for everyone’s favourite tea aficionado Grams/Joan Needham and the charity Friends of fairford and lechlade communities who took such amazing care of her earlier this year. The second is for my much missed cousin Lacey, who also left us this year aged just 13. Lace was very concerned about the plight of the critically endangered eastern mountain bongo antelope, and these brilliantly named beasties – along with many others are supported after by the renowned charity The Aspinall foundation.

I know everyone’s after your money these days, but anything you’re able to donate will be hugely appreciated, and will make sure I keep going for the entire 3 hour race instead of jacking it in and going to the pub as soon as I get some sand up my nose! The choice to donate to one or both charities is yours.

All event expenses (such as entry fees, fuel, biscuits, or motorcycle/bodily repair bills) will be covered by me – in other words every penny of your donation will go to these two charities.

Thanks in advance, and bring your pom poms and come cheer me on if you’re free on the 5th!

Olee
