Through the Bank of America & Bookmark Chiltern Challenge on October 18, 2025, Jaya, Ilya, Nikolay and Maria aim to raise £1000 to support Bookmark's vital work in promoting a culture of reading for pleasure in primary schools, especially in the most disadvantaged communities.

Literacy is not just a skill; it is a gateway to opportunity. Sadly, more than 1 in 4 children leave primary school unable to read well, which can lead to unemployment, poor mental health, and even a shorter life expectancy. The statistics are alarming: illiterate individuals earn 30-42% less than their literate peers. This is why we must act now.
