Our annual fundraiser is back! This year’s Walk of Hope takes place on Saturday 27th September 2025, or you can organise your own Walk of Hope on any day that suits you.

Story

Evanne was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in 2018 and underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She restarted university in 2019 and went on to get a BA (1st) in Art & Design, an MA in Art Disciplinary Practices and did an internship for Elsevier, all whilst undergoing further treatment. Evanne sadly passed away in April 2025.

As a family, we are supporting the Walk of Hope 2025 in memory of Evanne. She was an inspiration for all of us and a much loved daughter, wife and friend. Evanne was also a youth advisor and a young ambassador for several charities supporting teenage cancer and brain tumour patients and often used her artwork to support causes.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
