The Walking Women
Campaign by Wellbeing of Women (RCN 239281)
The Walking Women is a fundraising group supporting and raising awareness for Wellbeing of Women. We are organising events to help bring men and women together to raise awareness for female health conditions and fund valuable research.

Story

The Walking Women has been created from a love of walking and talking born from the pandemic. Throughout 2020 and into 2021, we have taken great comfort from going out and walking in our local area. It has been one of the only constants throughout the pandemic and has allowed us to create a routine. Walking and talking with family (over the phone,) or friends in person has allowed us to more openly discuss the problems our own bodies are presenting us with.

The Walking Women has the aim of increasing awareness of female health conditions, taking away the taboo from speaking about your symptoms and to raise money to support the valuable research being undertaken by Wellbeing of Women.

We are organising events to help fundraise and raise awareness. In 2021 we organised a walking weekend, walking over 1100 miles between us and raising nearly £5000. 6-8th May 2022 Maddie, Jake, Maca, James and Daisy will walk as many miles as possible including the Exeter Green Circle and part of the South Devon coast path, we would love to have your support for our sponsored walk! Please donate!
