Story

We're on a mission to run the London Marathon and raise £4000 for JRS!

About JRS:

JRS UK has a special ministry to those who find themselves destitute because of government policies and those detained for the administration of immigration procedures.

Our work is carried out in the spirit of mutual respect, dignity and solidarity with the refugees and forced migrants, and in collaboration with other organisations. Its centre provides vital practical and pastoral support to over 300 refugees and asylum seekers across Greater London, and outreach and support to people held in immigration detention.

The donation you give to my marathon fundraising is a token of solidarity with refugees but will also make a practical difference:

£10 provides a monthly mobile credit and data top-up to ensure refugees are in touch with charities and loved ones

£15 can provide a refugee with a bag of essential toiletries

£25 can provide parents with baby essentials such as nappies and baby food

£45 can pay for an hour of professional interpreting services so that the service teams know how best to support refugee friends

£50 can pay for a hardship grant to a destitute asylum seeker who do not have recourse to public funds

£100 helps JRS UK offer casework advice and legal support to refugees
