Story
We have decided to do the Glasgow Mighty Stride kiltwalk in April to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. With family and friends we will take on The Mighty Stride in memory of a very much loved and sorely missed Ian
Ian went to the Dr with stomach pain and a few days later was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer that metastasised to his liver. Ian only had a short but brutal 5 weeks left with his family, which was spent at hime surrounded with love. It is a horrible horrible disease, Ian was the rock and sanity of our family, leaving us all devastated and heartbroken to this day. Ian was a brilliant Husband, Dad , Uncle, Brother in law, Son in Law, Son, Friend & Chef - the best one in Ayrshire! No one should have to go through that in this day and age. Pancreatic Cancer symptoms can go undetected and is usually to far spread by diagnosis, and this sadly was the case for Ian.
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
