FCW Staff fundraising for Fine Cell Work

Raising money for Fine Cell Work

Thames Bridges Trek 2026 · 12 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Fine Cell Work is a charity which makes beautiful handmade products in British prisons. Teaching prisoners high-quality needlework boosts their self-worth, instils self-discipline, fosters hope and encourages them to lead independent, crime-free lives.

Story

Fine Cell Work staff are walking across London's Bridges this September!

Jen (Sales & Marketing Manager), Helsio (Tech & Sales Lead), Rupert (Engagement & Support Officer) and Kavya (Fundraising & Events Officer) will be undertaking the challenge to raise funds for the charity.

We are excited to cheer on for our team and hope you can join us in supporting them by donating to the campaign.

Fine Cell Work addresses three key social issues:

- The need to provide meaningful activities for people in prison

- To support prison leavers as they deal with the challenges faced on release

- To ensure that people are supported as they rebuild their lives and non-criminal identities

What your support will do

- £50 sponsors a stitcher to train as a volunteer 'class coordinator', teaching and mentoring other stitchers.

- £100 provides 10 beginner stitchers with 10 kits to begin their journey with us.

- £275 covers the volunteer costs of a stitching class in prison for a month.

- £500 provides an advanced stitcher with the materials for 1000 hours of creative activity.

- £1000 supports training for a group of 5 volunteers to teach in prison.
