Story
We're taking on Pedal, Paddle, Peak, in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK because they need support now more than ever, and our muscles matter.
This event will require us to cycle 34km, Canoe 3k, and embark on a 17k out and back hike to summit Helvellyn.
As we have hit midlife the need to stay fit, healthy, and strong is more important to us than ever. While aches and pains feel more frequent than in our youth, we are privileged that our bodies still allow us to take on crazy challenges, to push ourselves, and to stay strong.
sadly not everyone has the same privilege, and this is why we have chosen to support and raise as much money as we can for Muscular Dystrophy UK. Muscular Dystrophy (MD) is a genetic condition that gradually causes the muscles to weaken, leading to an increased level of disability. It is a progressive conditions which means it gets worse over time.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 110,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK funds ground-breaking research into into treatments and cures as well as providing life-changing individuals and families living with these conditions.
As a team of four, Jen, Lindsay, Drew, and Vic.....AKA 'Witness the Fitness' we will take on this challenge with gusto. We want to raise as MUCH money as possible. We would really appreciate your support for this wonderful charity....We promise to give 1000000% to this
All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
