Story
Lia’s Wings is the only aeroplane ambulance charity for children in the UK.
Named in memory of an amazing young girl, Emilia (Lia) Schoennagel who tragically passed away in 2022, the charity supports extremely premature babies and critically ill children when they are in urgent need of medical treatment or care, that can’t be accessed locally.
Lia's Wings doesn’t receive any government or NHS funding to carry out it’s work, but instead relies on the generosity of it’s donors and the efforts of it’s supporters to ensure they have the funds they need to never have to say "no" to a child (and family) facing a medical crisis.
This year I am taking on a 200-mile cycling challenge through Portugal - facing high-speeds, heat and plenty of hills - to help raise vital funds and awareness for this amazing charity.
It would mean a huge amount to me if you can offer any support with a donation - to help Lia's Wings and the incredible families they are there for, every day of the year.
