We are friends and family of Fleur and are walking to raise funds for PANS PANDAS UK, the only UK charity supporting families, providing resources and training for the education community, medical community and the general public, as well as fighting to gain recognition and treatment of PANS PANDAS by the NHS.

We are raising funds and awareness for PANS PANDAS UK by joining others in the UK on 9th October to walk 4 km to support families like ours affected by PANS and PANDAS.

PANS PANDAS is a little understood condition, apparently exacerbated by illnesses like COVID, which causes tics, involuntary (often obscene) words and gestures, OCD, hallucinations and depression/anxiety, as well as other neuropsychiatric symptoms. It is frequently misdiagnosed as Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Fleur used to be jolly, funny, and energetic. Today, she can manage at most one or two lessons a day at school, where she is starting work towards her GCSEs, having missed most of last year.
