Help Us Race the Sun for Action Medical Research

On 21st June 2025, the four of us will be taking on an exciting yet challenging adventure to raise funds for Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to saving and changing children’s lives. We’ll be competing in the Race the Sun event in the stunning Brecon Beacons, which involves a 36-mile bike ride, a hike to the summit of Pen Y Fan, and canoeing around Pontsticill Reservoir – all before sunset!

Action Medical Research is at the forefront of funding research into premature birth, pregnancy complications, and other critical areas of children's health. Their work is instrumental in finding life-saving treatments, developing vaccines, and curing diseases that affect children. Their ongoing research is vital for preventing premature births and improving the care for babies born too soon, as well as addressing pregnancy complications that impact both mothers and babies.

This cause means a great deal to one of our group personally. They tragically lost there baby at 24 weeks, and know firsthand how important research is in preventing such heart-breaking losses. It is our hope that the work being done by Action Medical Research can provide hope and support for families facing similar situations.
