Raising money for Parkinson’s UK, Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Now

Story

My wonderful mother, Helen, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023. She now has to undergo a year of treatment, including chemotherapy and surgery. Myself, my wife and best friend will be walking 25km in the South Coast Challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. The walk will take place on Saturday 2nd September 2023.

Prior to this, in the beginning of 2022, she was disgnosed with Parkinsons disease, which her mother, my Gran, also suffered with. Helen is the strongest person we know and she is selflessly taking part in her own 14km walk during her chemotherapy and up to now, has already raised over £1000 for Breast Cancer UK.

Breast Cancer Now fund breast cancer research with the highest potential to benefit people at risk or affected by breast cancer. They look for kinder treatements for breast cancer and ensure people affected by the disease can be better supported.
