A swim for Jim and Gwynne. Team fundraising for Alzheimer's Society

Raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Jim and Gwynne

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Nicki, Rie and Amy are taking part in a fundraising 10 mile swim for dementia on behalf of Jim (our father/grand father) and Gwynne (Nicki’s father in law) . Both live / lived with Alzheimer’s and both resided in Willowbank Care Home. Willowbank has a proven track record of providing care for those living with dementia.

It has been hard witnessing the slow decline due to Alzheimer’s and the gradual loss of our loved ones. The Alzheimer’s Society work hard to try and find treatments that can help those people affected by the condition.

Both Rie and Nicki plan to do their swimming early morning before Rie heads to school - we haven’t been in a swimming pool for many years, so we have quite a challenge ahead of us. Amy is going to fit it in around her studies at university.

If you would like to donate we’d really appreciate your support.
