Fostering NEL are fundraising for Comfort Cases and Rotary Club of Grimsby Benevolent Fund

Raising money for Rotary Club of Grimsby Benevolent Fund

Created via charity sign up service.

Story

On Sunday 12 July, North East Lincolnshire Council’s fostering team and a group of incredible local foster carers will be taking part in Grimsby’s first-ever Dragon Boat Race at Alexandra Dock. We’re paddling together not just for the challenge, but to raise vital funds for Comfort Cases UK – a charity that makes a real difference to children entering care.

Too often, children who have to leave their homes at short notice arrive at a foster placement with their belongings in bin bags, or with nothing at all. Comfort Cases changes that. They provide backpacks filled with essential items and comforting belongings, giving children something that is theirs to keep at a time when everything else is uncertain.

Our foster carers chose this charity because they have seen first-hand the impact it has. A simple bag of items can help a child feel valued, respected and cared for during one of the most difficult moments in their lives.

By supporting our Dragon Boat Race fundraiser, you are helping to provide comfort, dignity and reassurance to children in care. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make a difference.

Thank you for supporting us 🧡
