UPDATE- we are back on despite Laura rupturing her ACL. She is going to push through and we are going to attempt this as planned 💪🏼

We want to do this challenge in loving memory of our beautiful daughter Amelie who arrived sleeping 20th January 2025 3 days before her due date. We want to raise awareness and vital funds for Sands.

Sadly stillbirth happens more than you'd dare to think. Our pregnancy was "low risk" and "textbook". Amelie was perfect and a very healthy 7lb 3oz. We went in with concerns over reduced movement and found out she was gone. Research is needed to understand why this happens and hopefully prevent it. We may never understand what happened and that worsens this pain.

We are so grateful for the support we have reveived. Thanks to Sands we were given resources and a memory box which included ink kits so we could have our beautiful girl's hand and foot print.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
