Story
FPC is taking on Alfie’s Squad’s Race for a Reason to support children and young people who have lost a loved one to suicide.
From 14–16 November, Moira and Bernice will be racing from Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium to Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge - but with a twist!
Along the way, they’ll face secret checkpoints and challenges. It’s going to be a fun weekend using public transport, imagination (and maybe a few favours!) to get them to the finish line.
Alfie’s Squad was founded by Alfie, who lost his dad to suicide when he was just eight years old. With no support available to him, he decided to create something that would help other children in the same situation.
Launched in 2023, Alfie’s Squad is the only UK charity providing face-to-face peer support for children and young people (aged 6–17) and their families who are bereaved by suicide. Each week, up to 50 young members take part in fun, engaging activities, helping them to build confidence and friendships.
Your donation will help Alfie’s Squad continue to support these young people and reach even more families when they need it most. Please give what you can and follow @alfiessquad on Instagram, as you might be called on to help Moira and Bernice reach the finish line!
Thank you for your support.
