Story
In June 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Yorkshire Dales Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.
Many of you will know this is not my first Mighty Hike and this year I'll be joined by my fabulous neice Olivia!
Together we'd be so grateful if you could help us reach our £500 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
Thanks so much for visiting our page!
Over the years and with wonderful company I have completed 5 Macmillan Mighty Hikes.
The first in the Peak District; then the Jurassic Coast; Northumberland; the Gower and the last one being in Norfolk. Spectacular walks in stunning areas and we've been fortunate enough to receive tremendous support and donations for Macmillan Cancer Support.
So...on to the next challenge and over to Yorkshire in June.
We, like so many, are firm supporters of Macmillan Cancer Support and the amazing support that they provide. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and are more than aware of it's devastating impact. We want to make a difference and help Macmillan to carry on with their amazing work. We are committed to making a difference; however small or large that may be.
The past years have been amazing for raising money.
In 2017 My inspirational work colleague Steph Taylor walked the Loch Lomand Mighty Hike with her cousin Lynn. The same year my fabulous sister Catherine walked the Cotswold Way Mighty Hike with her Oxhill Ladies and then joined me a couple of weeks later on the Peak District Mighty Hike.
In 2018 Catherine and I completed the gruelling Macmillan Mighty Hike along the Jurassic Coastline which was our most challenging hike yet. Stunning scenery and a very personal walk as we spent many happy family holidays walking those coastal paths when we were younger.
2019 and my amazing friend Emma joined me on the Northumberland Mighty Hike for a fabulous Hike, raising lots of money for Macmillan.
2020 was cancelled due to Covid but 2021 saw us complete the Gower Peninsular in the company of Catherine once again and the lovely Katy. Absolutely spectacular scenery and once again we were blessed with good weather.
2022 was a special year as I stayed with family and completed the Norfolk Mighty Hike solo.
For a snapshot of the past Mighty Hikes please visit our Facebook page on: @FrodshamMacmillanMightyHikers (please like and share our page!). There's lots of amazing photos and posts of what we've all done over the past couple of years for Macmillan!
All I ask is for a small donation towards the walk. I can guarantee that our blood sweat (and maybe a few tears) will go into this walk but your support and motivation will keep me going!
We would like to thank you in advance for every penny donated and we promise we'll put every effort into it!
Thank you, Sarah
