Why We’re Doing This
This started with one challenge.
100KM across October for Cure Parkinson’s.
But very quickly, family and friends started saying:
“How can I do it with you?”
So this became bigger than just me.
Last year, Parkinson’s became part of my life at just 37 years old.
I’m a husband. A dad to two young girls. And suddenly I was having to work out what life looks like with something that currently has no cure.
Some days I feel strong.
Some days tremor, stiffness, dystonia, fatigue, poor sleep or an OFF period can make something as simple as walking feel like a proper battle.
That’s exactly why this challenge matters.
Because movement means more to me now.
And because the money we raise goes towards research into better treatments and ultimately the thing everyone living with Parkinson’s wants to hear one day:
We found a cure.
So this October, we’re doing it together.
100KM. Your way.
Walk it. Run it. Break it into tiny chunks. Do 3KM one day and nothing the next. Take the dog. Push the buggy. Get the family involved.
There’s no perfect way to do this.
Just move.
Each person joining the team can create their own fundraising page, share it with their own friends and family and take on their own 100KM.
Every kilometre adds to the effort.
Every donation adds to the total.
Every share helps spread awareness.
And every person joining reminds someone living with Parkinson’s that they’re not doing this alone.
For me, this is personal.
But this team is about all of us.
100KM. October. Together.
FUELED FOR A CURE 🧡
