Our small group of friends: Shafiq Azam, Yusuf Metwaly, Andrei Torac, Ali Nasrallah, Vithujan Sellathurai, Macroy Esteves, Hamza Alkwareet , Shreyas Pancholi, and Myriam Azam became inspired to help these civilians with our group, “Full Moon Foundation.” What started as an assignment to make up a charity to actually making a small difference in the world to help.We chose the name: Full Moon Foundation to represent a light in times of darkness and hope that should never be gone when helping.

WHAT WE WILL DO

We aim to complete a total of 200km distance by either walking or running during this holy month to present our dedication for this cause.

Every Ramadan, we are blessed with the opportunity to fast with family and eat iftar together, but how can we comfortably participate in the holy month while our brothers and sisters across the world don’t have any food to break their fast with? It is up to us to make this unfair world a little more liveable for some.

Already having the small amount of knowledge of the Gaza crisis broke our hearts into pieces. But as we learnt more about this issue through school and the news, we were inspired to take part in the support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
