Story
Muscles.
We take them for granted.
Every action we do uses them without thought. Breathing, smiling, blinking, walking, eating, drinking and most importantly to pump blood around our bodies.
Our muscles matter.
We are running the TCS 2026 London Marathon, not just in the name of William our beloved son/brother, but for the memories of all those who have succumbed to muscle wasting conditions.
William was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 4, 6 years ago at just 15 weeks lost the kindest, most beautiful soul far to early into what was already going to have been a shortened life.
MDUK and all it does for the children, adults and their families will forever hold a special place in our heart.
Their endless research and support networks into an illness that still has no cure, tirelessly supporting families and individuals effected when all hope seems lost. We’re hopeful that one day their constant and vital work will result in a cure, but until then they are fundamental for support, advice, guidance and hope.
By fundraising for MDUK we’re helping to fund world class research into effective treatments and life changing support for the 110,000 people in the Uk living with a muscle waisting conditions.
