Gemma and Lauren’s half marathon! 🏃‍♀️

Raising money for Raystede Centre For Animal Welfare Limited

Run Kent · 4 October 2026 ·

We help injured and unwanted animals in need through rescue, rehoming, rehabilitation, and sanctuary. We need to raise £6,500 every day to pay for all our animal care costs. We’re passionate about creating a world where animals are treated with kindness, respect and understanding.

Story

We are taking on this new challenge of running our first half marathon in Tonbridge for Raystede animal charity! As veterinary nurses, this is a cause close to our hearts.

Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect.

Raystede is Sussex’s biggest animal welfare charity, with nearly 70 years’ experience of caring for and rehoming animals. Uniquely, we care for a huge range of animals - from dogs, cats and donkeys to rabbits, parrots and alpacas.
