We are members of Romsey Ukraine Support Group Walking the Test Way on 27 September as a team to raise funds for buying generators for Ukraine. With another long, harsh winter approaching, and with continuing power outages as a result of attacks on the energy infrastructure, these small and highly efficient generators provide a vital alternative source of power, light and warmth for families and communities in Ukraine. They are transported to the country by New Forest for Ukraine whose well-organised distribution network ensures that the generators reach the points of greatest need. Each generator costs £220, including transport costs. Our group's target is to send 25 generators to Ukraine by the end of the year. We have funded 7 alreadyand we aim to raise enough when we Walk the Test Way on 27 September to send at least a further 7 (£1540).
