Story
In May 2024 our Son George was diagnosed with an exceptionally rare lymphatic disease. Only 6 children in the UK have this condition and they’re cared for by Great Ormand Street Hospital.
George has had multiple hospital visits over the last two years, involving X-rays, ultrasounds, blood tests, biopsies and finally surgery in May 24' to remove naughty glands in his neck. He remains one the bravest children a Mummy and Daddy could wish for. George has humbled us by his bravery and never once question why we have been putting him through ongoing test and painful procedures, his trust in us frequently brings us to tears.
The thought of a life without George is unfathomable but we remain very optimistic of his condition. As long as we continue with regular trips to GOSH until he's 18 and then regular NHS facilities thereafter, he stands a strong chance of being unaffected. However, none of this would be possible without the exceptional medical team and facilities at GOSH.
Unfortunately the grave reality is that many children will lose their lives at GOSH having been admitted for treatment, including my Friend's beautiful 6 year old Son, Hugh Menai-Davis, who lost his battle with lymphatic cancer and sadly passed away in 2021.
So please support George in his quest to turn a negative experience into a positive one for many children under care at GOSH. A donation of ANY amount will go a long way towards supporting thousands of children requiring treatment for serious illnesses.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
