Story
Hello, and thank you so much for visiting our JustGiving page. On 23 May 2026, Melise, Lee, and Laura will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks — a challenge that means the world to us. We’re not just climbing mountains; we’re raising vital awareness and funds for the World Endometriosis Research Foundation (WERF), a cause deeply personal to our team.
Endometriosis is a chronic, life‑altering condition that affects millions. Despite its prevalence, it still takes an average of seven years to receive a diagnosis — years filled with pain, uncertainty, and dismissed symptoms. This delay impacts education, careers, fertility, mental health, and everyday life. By supporting WERF, you’re helping drive earlier diagnosis, better research, and the understanding that people with endometriosis urgently deserve.
One of our team members has lived with endometriosis and adenomyosis since age 13. She wasn’t diagnosed until 27, after emergency surgery revealed stage 4 disease and two large endometriomas. Five surgeries later — including a hysterectomy — she continues to face daily pain with determination and strength. And she’s far from alone. Many of our friends, family, and likely someone in your own life are affected by this condition.
Joining us is Laura's lurcher, Islay — our four‑legged training partner and constant source of motivation on the toughest climbs. You can follow her journey on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@onyx1303?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc
Your support means more than you know. Every donation helps fund research, improve diagnosis, and give hope to those living with endometriosis. Thank you for standing with us.
