Friends of Animals Wales is a small animal charity in the Welsh Valleys. Our founder Eileen Jones has dedicated much of her life to rescuing animals who desperately need a second chance in life. Friends of Animals Wales is run solely by volunteers.

Story

My hooman mum and I (Gus) are hoping to walk 150km throughout September to raise funds for two wonderful doggy charities. I think my mum could walk a lot further but she has to think about my paws and my joints. Many of the animal charities are in crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we just want to help. Friends of Animals Wales (FOAW) is a small rescue charity run entirely by volunteers and receives no funding other than which it can raise itself. The Rescue’s work is primarily devoted to ex puppy farm dogs, and those who have suffered life changing illness or injury, whether physical or emotional. The second charity is Animal Protection Services. It is a registered charity that investigates and prosecutes organised animal cruelty. Their mission is to safeguard animals from commercial exploitation and deliberate acts of cruelty. So can you please help us to help less fortunate dogs? I can’t wait to out there in the fresh September air and get walking.
