We are taking part in the Yr Wyddfa Challenge 2026 on 12th September in Snowdonia as part of a team of four colleagues from Gilling Dod Architects. The challenge involves a 15km hike, 15km bike ride and 3km kayak, and with over 4,000ft of ascent: It’s a serious test of teamwork, stamina and strong legs, set against some of the UK’s most striking mountain scenery. As the architects of the new Surgical Neonatal Unit and extended ED (UTC/PAU & SDEC) at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which is due to be completed in 2026, we are proud to be fundraising for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, supporting the children and young people who are treated there every year. Our £2,000 team target will help fund vital research, provide world-class equipment, and support the moments of care that make a real difference for patients and families.
