Story
A huge thank you to everyone who supported us. We enjoyed the day but more importantly we are proud of helping to publicise the work of the hospice and raise such a great amount for the hospice. But most of all thank you to you all.
Martin my husband had great care at Weston Hospice in 2023, and the hospice people helped our family through that time and in times past too. We are all walking or running to raise money for the work of the hospice. Thank you for your donation and support.
So here’s to a good walk, and thank you to Kate and Jojo, Robbie, Sophie, Caroline, Ed and Linda for joining in! Sorry you couldn’t be there Sarah, ten miles on crutches would have been a big ask!
Here is how the hospice describes the care they give.
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
