Dad’s Army is made up of four of us — Doris, Jamie, Kristin and Alister — walking together in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 in memory of a very special man, Gordon - a much loved husband, dad and father-in-law.

We are raising money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, who cared for my dad after he was diagnosed with cancer. Although his time in the hospice was short, the impact the staff and nurses had on our family will stay with us forever.

From the moment we arrived, my dad was treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion. Just as importantly, the hospice team supported us — offering comfort, reassurance, and space to be together during an incredibly difficult time. Their care meant that he was never just a patient - he was a person.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps the hospice continue their vital work for patients and families across our community.
