Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Long Covid Kids

Story

Our Gravita team are raising money for Long Covid Kids and Macmillan Cancer Support by taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks on 20th September 2025.

We will be trekking for 12 hours, summitting the three iconic Yorkshire peaks (Pen-y-Ghent Whernside and Ingleborough), altogether totalling around 5,200 feet and 24 miles.

Our chosen charities:

We are raising money for two wonderful and important charities.

Long Covid Kids:

Gravita's team member Jana Touati has been supported by Long Covid Kids for almost four years after her son Samir become diagnosed with Long Covid. Samir’s life changed completely.

He became disabled and lost his education, childhood experiences and dreams —a heartbreaking reality that too many children and families face.

This is not just a personal story; it is a collective struggle that thousands of families endure while waiting for effective treatments for their children

We now have an opportunity to raise vital funds for Long Covid Kids, so they can continue their essential work supporting children, parents, and caregivers navigating this difficult journey.

Macmillan:

Macmillan was voted to be Gravita Aldgate's charity of the year this year. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.

That's why Macmillan will do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.

Our team:

Our team of trekkers are made up of varying levels, from associate to manager, across audit, VAT, R&D and finance as well as coming from across the London and Exeter offices.
