Story

We are going to be gaming for 24 hours straight on 8th May to the 9th May, to raise vital funds for Alzheimer's Society!

Green Team are uniting with Alzheimer's Society for a world without dementia. There are currently 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia and there is no cure of treatment for people living with dementia right now this minute.

Coronavirus and the resulting lockdown in the UK presents new challenges for people living with dementia. Without access to vital face to face services and less contact with family and carers, it's a terrifying time for people living with dementia. Alzheimer's Society has stepped up to be there and provide vital support and advice for anyone who needs it, through their helpline and amazing dementia advisers.

Now is an incredibly difficult time for British charities, where conventional fundraising is made all the more difficult due to cancellation of events like the London Marathon and other huge fundraising opportunities. A gaming challenge might feel a little trivial, but in the current lockdown it's a way of safely generating vital funds for a fantastic charity that is there for anyone affected by dementia.

Any and all support you can give us would mean the world! Thank you so much for your kind donations! <3

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
