Walking the Length of Loch Ness for Mikeysline
Tesco Store Managers from across the Highlands and Islands are coming together to take on a 26‑mile walk along Loch Ness, from North to South, to raise funds and awareness for Mikeysline.
Mikeysline is a Highland‑based charity with one clear and vital aim: suicide prevention. It was founded in 2015 following the devastating loss of two close friends, Mikey Williamson and Martin Shaw, who both died by suicide within days of each other at the age of just 23. Their deaths were a tragic reminder of how important it is that people have somewhere safe to turn when they are struggling.
Today, Mikeysline provides lifesaving support to people across the Highlands and beyond. Their textline service offers an anonymous, safe and confidential way for people to reach out and be heard by trained volunteers who have lived experience of mental health challenges. They also provide 1:1 support sessions by appointment, giving people time, understanding and compassion when they need it most.
By walking the length of Loch Ness, we want to show that no one has to walk their hardest moments alone. Every mile we cover helps raise awareness, reduce stigma around mental health, and support the ongoing delivery of Mikeysline’s vital services.
Your donation – no matter the size – will help Mikeysline continue to be there for people at their lowest points and could truly help save lives.
Thank you for your support 💛
