Story
As a community, we are taking part in the 2026 GVA Wellness Walk to raise awareness and funds for the Aching Arms OFFLOAD campaign. The event will feature a team race, with participants from the Northwest and Northeast setting off from different locations and making their way to a shared finish line in Manchester City Centre. More details about the event will be announced soon.
Baby loss is devastating, and for many dads, there is often little space to grieve, share their feelings or seek support. Men often feel like working environments adopt a tough, no nonsense culture which makes opening up about feelings after baby loss extremely difficult and uncomfortable.
We believe no dad should have to carry this weight alone. OFFLOAD is a campaign dedicated to supporting dads in the construction industry who have experienced pregnancy and baby loss, helping them feel seen, heard and understood in their workplace.
OFFLOAD aims to raise awareness, expand support services, provide much needed training and foster industry wide conversations ensuring we provide comfort and support to bereaved dads for as long as they need us
