Hi everyone,

We’re Sammy, Heidi, and Julie – three Haematology Specialist Nurses from Frimley Park Hospital – and we’re taking on the Sunflower Walk, a 13.1-mile walk, to raise money for the wonderful Thames Hospice.

Working in haematology, we care for patients with life-limiting blood disorders and cancers every day. Many of our patients and their families rely on the vital support that hospices like Thames provide. Their care goes far beyond medicine – offering dignity, comfort, and peace at the most difficult times.

The Sunflower Walk is a meaningful event full of hope, remembrance, and compassion – values that mirror the incredible work Thames Hospice does every single day.

We’re walking in honour of the patients we’ve cared for, the families we’ve supported, and everyone who has been touched by the care of a hospice.
