Story
In April, we’ll be taking on what we believe is the longest away day in the Premier League. But instead of jumping on a train or coach. We’re cycling it.
Ahead of AFC Bournemouth’s away fixture at Newcastle United on 18 April, The Handlebarmy Army will ride 400 miles in just three days, travelling from Bournemouth to Newcastle to support The Cherries and raise money for CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palate Association).
This challenge is deeply personal for us. Our organiser Dave Harris’s son, Teddy, was born with a cleft lip and palate in 2024. CLAPA supports families from diagnosis and birth through surgery, recovery and beyond. Three babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate every day in the UK, and they face a 20-year treatment pathway which can continue well into adulthood. The Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) is here to make sure no one has to go through this alone.
Every donation, big or small, helps CLAPA continue their incredible work and gives us a massive boost as we tackle the Premier League’s ultimate away day.
Thank you for your support ❤️
