Story
On 6th September, Hannah and I will be taking on a big challenge — abseiling over 100m down the side of Queen’s Medical Centre!
We’re doing this to raise vital funds for the Children’s Oncology Ward at QMC.
Update - with less than one week to go we’ve reached £4,000! We never thought it’d be possible to get to this total - so we’ve decided to aim even higher and go for £5,000! All the money raised makes a big difference to children and families going through really tough times.
The costumes have been chosen - SpongeBob SquarePants & Superted will be making their way down from the roof!
Over the summer holidays, our best friends’ 10-year-old son was diagnosed with T lymphoblastic lymphoma. He is currently receiving treatment from the incredible staff team at QMC, who have been nothing short of amazing in supporting him and his family.
We want to give something back — to help the team continue their fantastic work for children and families going through the toughest times of their lives. Every pound raised will go directly towards making a difference for young patients and their loved ones.
And there’s a twist…we’ll be doing the abseil in fancy dress — costume chosen by none other than our brave young patient himself! Stay tuned to see what he picks… it could be interesting!
Please consider donating whatever you can. Your support means the world to us, and to all the families who rely on the care at QMC.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️
